Austin Healey Club 2 Day Event - Thruxton Race Circuit

This international event had been going on all week,
with planned drives and trips to various sports car functions, including a Hillclimb.
The event was well supported with Healey Club Members coming from across the world,
from as far away as Japan, Australia & A large contingent of Over 20 Cars from South Africa.
This action packed week finished with Friday and Saturday at Thruxton Circuit,
where some of the most famous Healeys ever built were displayed, furthermore
a large amount of Famous Racing Cars and Ex-Works Cars attended.
There were many Trade Stands and Exhibitors supplying Parts Spares & Services,
including Frontline Costello, Showing their products such as Handing Kits for Sprites,
5 Speed Gear Box Conversion Kits & Rear Disc Brake Kits, not to mention their
Aviation Quality Alloy Body Panels for Sprites & Midgets.
This event was only marred at the end of the day on Saturday, when Heavy Rain caused
Part of the Trade Marquee to Collapse. Other Traders all went to the assistance
of their colleagues who were getting their exhibits washed for them.
Saturday saw some exciting racing of Healeys, and invited Triumph TRs & Aston Martins.
Of special mention is Club Member Paul Woolmer (Now associated with the
Classic Motor Company & Frontline Costello), Paul had a great drive
in a Historic WSM Race Car, winning the B-Class Event.
